Your First 12 Weeks at the Sales Academy
Week 1 – Company Induction
Step into the world of PHMG. Discover our history, dive into our products, explore the client journey, and see how creativity powers everything we do. Learn how our top salespeople deliver world-class pitches—then craft and practice your very own.
Weeks 2–4 – Salesforce Fundamentals
Get hands-on with our CRM, Salesforce. Work with real data, adapt your pitch for real prospects, and sharpen your skills with one-to-one coaching from our Sales Development Managers.
Weeks 4–8 – Pitch Mastery
Whether from our pool or your own research. You’ll start working toward a clear glidepath of KPIs and sales metrics, all while refining your pitch with tailored support from our coaches.
Weeks 8–12 – Raising the Bar
The challenge ramps up. With tougher KPIs and success metrics, plus ongoing one-to-one coaching, you’ll be equipped to prove yourself at the highest level.
Graduation – Whenever You’re Ready
After 6 weeks, if you’re crushing it – you can graduate early and earn your place on the senior sales floor.

Sales Leadership
After reaching Senior 1, you’ll be eligible for our Team Leader training. This builds your core leadership skills and sets you on the path to running your own team. From there, you can progress into advanced leadership training designed to prepare you for Head of Sales and beyond.
Sales Development
If inspiring others is more your style, step into a development role. You’ll work with new starters in the Academy, coaching them through their first steps and setting them up for success.

Our Global Trainers

Dan Willson
Dan joined PHMG in 2022, bringing over a decade of experience in L&D, coaching, sales, strategy, and leadership across finance, construction, and stationery sectors. He’s passionate about developing people, ensuring every pathway to progress is explored, and the right steps are taken with purpose. No two days are the same at PHMG, and that’s exactly what makes it such a special place to lead, grow, and thrive.
Calum McDermott
Calum joined PHMG in 2021. He’s passionate about unlocking the full potential of the MDEs on his team and pushing for progress, not just performance. After working primarily in the Manchester Australia team, he has recently progressed to guiding our new starters as part of the Manchester North America Academy.
Joshua Boughey
Josh joined PHMG in January 2023, straight from a Business Management degree at the University of Liverpool. He cut his teeth in the world of door-to-door sales—learning fast in a high-pressure environment where coaching and resilience were the currency of success.
A lifelong sports fanatic, Josh can usually be found watching or playing football, rugby, or more recently—getting hooked on padel.
He graduated early from the Academy, eager to prove himself—but a tough first month out gave him a sharp dose of reality. That experience shaped his drive to grow, rise, and ultimately stay connected to the Academy, helping others avoid the same pitfalls and hit the ground running. His Advice? “I Tried to sprint before I could walk. Tripped, learned, and came back faster.”
Sam Sanderson
Sam joined PHMG in October 2021, fresh out of the University of Hull and into the world of sales with zero experience—but no shortage of grit. As the least experienced in his academy, he let his work ethic do the talking. He kept his head down, stayed resilient, and outlasted the rest—rising fast by competing with the best until he became one of them.
Off the phones, Sam is an avid sportsman—a self-proclaimed terrible golfer, average footballer, and enthusiastic guitar player with a serious love for music.
Sammy Quinn
Sam joined PHMG in March 2021, quickly rising from MDE to Academy Manager by early 2022. With a background in marketing and inside sales, he brings a relatable, upbeat style to coaching—keeping targets front and centre while creating a positive space for growth. Adaptable, optimistic, and results-driven, Sam’s journey is proof that resilience and focus build high-performing teams.
Thomas Stenning
Tom joined PHMG in November 2021, starting out as an MDE before rising quickly through the ranks to lead academies in Charlotte, Phoenix, and now Chicago. Known for his energy and enthusiasm, he brings life to every session and momentum to every office. From Manchester evenings to managing teams across the US—Tom’s journey proves that taking your shot pays off.
Gabrielle Adam
Gabrielle joined PHMG in April 2024, transitioning from her studies in Speech-Language Pathology at Marymount Manhattan College, where she also worked in early childhood education. She brings a strong focus on communication and development, paired with a grounded, hard-working mindset.
Outside of work, Gabrielle is passionate about language learning, having studied Serbian for nearly three years, with plans to take on Japanese next.
Her ethos: “I’m not more talented than anyone else, I just outwork them.”
Xavier Ramirez
Xavier joined PHMG in June 2024, bringing with him 3½ years of sales experience across the automotive, real estate, and life insurance industries. A natural communicator with a love for growth, he focused on showing up, learning fast, and leading by example. turning consistency into leadership.
When he’s not coaching, he’s exploring, from Southern California beaches to Idaho campgrounds and Arizona trails, Xavier lives for the outdoors and never stops moving forward.
