Role: Senior Marketing Executive
Location: Manchester office, hybrid working
Package: £45,000 – £60,000
Overview:
Reporting to the VP of Client Insight & Intelligence, you’ll play a key role in shaping and executing marketing strategies that align with business objectives and market dynamics. Leveraging marketing expertise, best practices, and data-driven insights, you’ll develop and implement effective campaigns that drive client engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
Your focus will be on ensuring marketing initiatives are aligned with customer needs, commercial product priorities, and revenue goals, while maintaining the flexibility to adapt to real-time market feedback. Utilising insights and research from the Client Insight & Intelligence team, you’ll translate high-level strategy into impactful, results-driven campaigns. By analysing previous campaign performance, you’ll refine future initiatives to deliver measurable improvements in key Client Services metrics.
In collaboration with the Client Services Trainer, you’ll educate Client Engagement teams on the value of products and adjacencies, sharing marketing insights to enhance the effectiveness of client interactions.
Additionally, you’ll oversee the development of a Marketing Executive, fostering their growth and ensuring the seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing strategy:
- Work with Client Services leadership to shape and inform the marketing strategy to ensure alignment with overall revenue and commercial goals.
- Define and implement content strategies and identify the most effective channels to engage clients and improve engagement.
- Monitor market trends and key events (e.g., seasonal events, Super Bowl) to tailor campaigns that resonate with target audiences in each territory to drive updates.
- Utilise market insights, data reports, and intelligence to inform strategy.
Campaign management and channels:
- Own the end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with revenue goals and commercial priorities.
- Develop data-driven, multi-channel campaigns that engage clients, increase interest in additional products and services and drive renewals.
- Create clear and compelling briefs for the Design team, providing insight from previous campaigns to deliver collateral that performs.
- Optimise campaign performance by monitoring key metrics and adjusting strategy based on market feedback and insights.
- Oversee the Marketing Executive, providing guidance on campaign execution and performance tracking.
- Oversee our digital footprint (website content, client testimonials, online review sites, digital marketing presence) to ensure alignment with PHMG brand strategy.
Product marketing and portfolio alignment:
- Ensure marketing efforts align with Product Director/Owner strategies, supporting product quality improvements and market positioning.
- Integrate new product adjacencies into product portfolio collateral for Client Services teams through clearly briefing the Design team to create compelling, on-brand assets.
- Translate product enhancements and innovations into clear, impactful messaging for use across digital marketing campaigns.
- Work cross-functionally with Product and Commercial teams to ensure marketing materials effectively communicate value propositions and differentiation.
- Leverage digital marketing channels to drive awareness and engagement around product updates, Account Managers can present relevant information to clients.
Line management and development:
- Mentor and develop the Marketing Executive, fostering their growth in key marketing skills.
- Oversee and review their work to ensure high-quality execution, brand consistency, and alignment with commercial objectives.
- Empower them with ownership of tasks and initiatives, providing guidance and support while encouraging autonomy and professional development.
- Offer regular feedback and coaching, helping to enhance their expertise in campaign management, content creation, and performance analysis.
- Ensure their contributions effectively support broader marketing initiatives, driving impact across product marketing and brand awareness efforts.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
- Proven experience in B2B marketing, ideally within a commercial or revenue-driven environment.
- Strong background in campaign development and execution, including multi-channel strategies.
- Experience working as a strategic business partner with Client Services and Product teams to align marketing initiatives with commercial goals.
- Expertise in product marketing, translating product enhancements and new adjacencies into compelling messaging and collateral.
- Experience managing marketing performance analytics, leveraging data to optimise campaign effectiveness.
- Exposure to digital marketing channels (email, social media, PPC, SEO) and content marketing strategies.
- Experience working with design teams to create on-brand, high-quality marketing materials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality control and timely execution.
- Previous experience in managing, mentoring or developing junior marketing professionals.
